When Eliza Harriss married Cornelius Dinneen in Dover in 1867 there is the information that here father was a tanner named William Harriss. From other records relating to Eliza, her birth place is given as South Africa. Unfortunately there are very few complete records from the mid 1850s when Eliza was born and, as yet, no further information that identifies Eliza's parents
